On today's menu we have LI JIANHONG, "China's hottest, loudest, and most psychedelic avant-noise artist." according to PSF Records. Jianhong has his own independent experimental label though. 2pi Records, stationed in Hangzhou, China has fostered the rise in other noise musicians like VagusNerve, Ronez, Arbyth, and Torturing Nurse.

...this blog came into existence and it was probably today, right this very moment, but that's hard to say, slippery and slimy, spinning in concentric circles spiraling to some unknown infinite finiteness. With a scratch and a hiss and some crackles and pops Waxed Mush urges you to clear out your audio orifices and fill your noggin with some scrambling frequencies. Is this going to be just another rehash of what you've already come to know and reject in the worldwide electronic community of musical "post"colonialism? Well don't expect me to answer that, just flow with the go and Sun Ra-Ra-Ra!

Now, the first order of business. Shuggie. Shuggie Otis, I want you to know that you are pure inspiration. You're a musical genius and nothing can ever take that away from you, not even time itself. How effortlessly you've travelled through styles and grooves, fully absorbing and expanding on them without ever being tied down to a single one. The layers of sound from each instrument you master flutter like a symphony of butterflies, dancing with rhythms that overlap and transform while gracefully floating together harmoniously in a star shaped cloud formation.
